This week’s beer is UFO Hefeweizen by the Harpoon Brewing Company in Boston.
Now, unless you live under a rock in New England, there is a good chance you have tried UFO. If you haven’t experienced it, you’ve been missing out. 
This style of beer “Hefeweizen” is a German style of wheat beer in which the yeast is not filtered out. Hence the Un-Filtered Offering!
This is truly a delicious American Unfiltered Wheat Beer that Harpoon suggests enjoying at 38 degrees. Notes include lemons, spicy yeast, and hints of banana in the aroma. This brew is particularly noted for its low hop bitterness at about 15 IBU’s and relatively high carbonation. Contains relatively malty sweetness. At 4.8% ABV this brew won’t fill you up to quickly.
