Week 1 - September 2008 
Here comes the Marzen/Oktoberfest brews. This weeks feature is a nice Marzen from Slopes Brewing Company located in Presque Isle, Maine.
This is a robust German lager that has an amber color. Brewed to be very traditional in German character. Medium bodied with very evident malt presence. Very flavorful and appealing hop blend as well. They have brewed this beer to be something between a Munich Dunkel and a Double Bock.
Slopes fresh brewed beers uses only pure spring water directly from Northern Maine Pure Spring Water. They produce some of the finest local beer available in the area.
